Legal Question in Construction Law in Texas
mechanics lien
I have a renter that made alterations to my house without me knowing and or approving and now I am evicting him. He said he is filing a mechanics lien for ''Improvements'' done to property. Is this legal?

He cannot file the lien and cloud your title unless you knew about and consented to the work. You can file suit for damages and to quash the lien. Email me directly if you want to know more. [email protected]
