Legal Question in Construction Law in Texas
I had a remodeling project on my home which was financed by a bank loan. The bank sent an inspector each time there was a request for funds. His job was to verify the progress. Unfortunately, the contractor was incompetent and dishonest, and most of the work needs to be redone. Does the bank have any responsibility for my loss since they had an inspector verify the work?

They are only verifying that the work is being done; they do not verify the quality. You chose the contractor, not them.
