Legal Question in Construction Law in Texas
trees overhanging neighbor
There are 3 trees on my property about 5 feet inside my property. The neighbor is complaining that the leaves are causing a mess for her. The branches are not endangeing any of her buildings but do hang on her side of the property. Can she cut the overhanging branches, just what is my responsibility/liability? thanks

Re: trees overhanging neighbor
Your neighbor does not have the right to cut your tree limbs. However, you are also responsible for the mess your trees may make on your neighbor's property. Those are the legal positions. Just how that will be resolved is between you and your neighbor.
