Legal Question in Construction Law in Texas

trial judgment

What happens to funds given pursuant to a mediation settlement agreement when a judgment is later entered and signed for a larger amount?

How long do the defendants have to fund the judgment once it is signed and entered?

Re: trial judgment

I don't quite understand your question. If money was paid as the result of a settlement, that should be considered as an offset to the amount owed on the final judgment.

Defendant's are not required to fund a judgment. It's up to the plaintiff in judgment to collect, and frequently that is harder than merely getting the judgment.
