Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
97 Hyuandai Sonata erroneous in stating the correct horsepower on the engine.
I recieved a letter from Hyundai Motor America stating that they had made an error in the horsepower rating for my engine. I have a 97 Hyuandai Sonata and the letter said that the horsepower rating was published as 137 when it is acutally 125.
I experience a lot of delay with my engine, especially when it comes to merging on to the freeway. I bought this a few years ago and I have some payments left on it. I want to know what can be done. I was offered Roadside Assistance Benefit for 5 years. I did not activate that service because I feel I should be better compensated. I went online and see there is a class action suit for this problem and I did put in a complaint. What else can be done. Please help.

You may have a Deceptive Trade Practice claim against Hyundai. There may be a class action at some point, and if you accept the Roadside Assistance, you may waive any future claim.
