Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
I applied for a pay day loan on line and was declined. The next week I began to recieve calls from someone claiming that they were going to come to my place of employment to collect the loan. I checked with my bank and no direct deposit was ever made. They have called me at least 50 times. I have saved 5 of the calls.

It is a "deceptive trade practice" to attempt to collect a loan that isn't owed.
When you get one of these phone calls, immediately demand that the caller identify himself. Ask him:
1. his full name.
2. where he's calling from - the name AND mailing address of the company.
3. where the company has its headquarters.
4. where the company is incorporated.
Then tell him that you never got the loan, and that he is subjecting his employer to civil liability. Tell him to stop calling. Tell him that if he calls again, you will sue his company for deceptive trade practices.
If he won't give you the information, hang up.
Remember, you don't have to be polite to these people. They have no souls and they have no mothers. They are the lowest form of life on earth.
I have known people who buy "survival whistles" at the sporting goods stores - the kinds of whistles that can be heard for miles in the wilderness - and keep them by the phone. When the bill collector calls, you simply blow the whistle into the phone as loudly as you can (this won't work if they call you at your job).
