Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Attempted but unsucessful repo
I purchased a car from a used car lot. I have recently fell behind on the payments and the car lot tried to have my car repossessed but I paid the repo man the late fees and his fee so they let me keep my car. I fell behind again and instead of trying to repo the car the owner of the car lot had the title taken out of my name and now I can't put state tags on my vehicle. Is it legal for him to do that or does he have to release the tempory title or hold on it so I can put tags on my car?

The car dealer's actions are not legal. Sounds like you need to hire an attorney.
