Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Auto Warranty Contract Silent on Coverage
I purchased a extended warranty for my new automobile. As the dealer warranty (3yr, 36k Mi) is expiring, I decided to review the extended warranty contract, when I noticed that the ''Coverage Selected'' section had no coverage marked from the four options available. I requested a copy of the contract from the warranty company, and when I received it, I discovered that they had me covered under the ''silver'' coverage with is the 2nd worst out of the four options, & one I wouldn't have paid for.
I feel like 3 parties are at fault...myself, the dealer finance dept, and the warranty company, all for not catching this ''silence'' on coverage.
What are my options?

Re: Auto Warranty Contract Silent on Coverage
Are you asking about legal liability on the 'expired' warranty?
Any lawsuit or cause of action requires not only liability, but also damages. If you were never rejected for warranty coverage because of the error, then you have not suffered damages.
