Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
automobile sale
last week in december got vehicle at dealership. completed paperwork and my 1st payment that i had to put down was cashed. father signed paperwork as co signer a few weeks later. have picked up temp tags and when i called yesterday to find out when i can get my permanent tags and when will i get my first bill, i was told to bring the car back because financing was not approved. after 7-8 weeks? something doesnt sound right to me. is there anything i can do to keep my car?

It may be legit, but it sure sounds like the scam some dealers pull, called "dehorsing". I'd contact the consumer fraud division of the attorney general's office and file a complaint with them
