Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Awards
I want to award every 100,000th customer with a round trip flight!
However, I do not want it to cost the customer in taxes. More importantly I do not want this offer to be illegal.
This is a concept that is based on ''chance'' but it is not a game. However, to win the concept does requier you to purchase anything of value from within the store.
What am I missing?
Thank you for your time.

Re: Awards
When you award a taxable gift, the value will be taxable. All you can do is award money to lessen the tax burden, but that money will also be taxable so some taxes will still have to be covered by the recipient.
