Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Bad Auto repair in Texas
I took my truck to a shop to get the transmission rebuilt. since then it has been in the shop four times to repair the transmission, on average of two weeks per visit. This has cost me a small fortune in car rentals, and I am tired of being stranded on the road, missing work, etc.. All this because some one cant do the job right the first time. What are my rights? Can I make them pay for my rental car? Can I make them give my money back and take it to another shop to do the repairs? Please help, thanks

The answer is yes, but how are you going to prove that they did not do the job right the first time? How are you going to prove that it is not a series of unfortunate events of independent failures? Don't ask me how I know these questions. It's expensive to do what you want to do, but if that is not a factor, then go for it. Good Luck.
