Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Borrower, Co-Signer rights
I purchased a vehicle in Texas and the Co-Signer and myself have since broken up (not married). Now the Co-Signer will not allow me to possess the vehicle. Note: the bill comes addressed to me every month. How can I gain possession?

Re: Borrower, Co-Signer rights
If title to the vehicle is only in your name, you can sue for possession.
But if title is in both names, then they have as much right to possession as you. If you stop paying it will affect your credit, but they'll look to the co-signer for payment.
