Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
I bought some couches from conn's and they were built wrong, the leg was in the wrong place causing the couch to sit on the floor. the guy came out to repair it and he said that they would have to come pick it up and rebuild or replace it. after months of collection calls and no one coming to fix my couches, we finally told them to pick them up and we would do volentary repossetion. they never came and picked them up and now they have marked my credit as a charge off. i'm trying to buy a home and that caused my application to be denied. my credit score dropped about 90 points.

How long ago did this happen? If the statute of limitations has not passed, you may consider suiing conn's. Whether you prevail will depend on what exactly transpired between you and conn's and the finance company.
