Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Bought a timeshare 6 weeks ago but didn't get any of the fine print until an owners meeting today when I learned NOTHING was as first told. The property I toured is not the same type I bought (which was never disclosed) which precludes us from using the 7 other resorts, which were the main selling tool/reason for buying. Today, at a different resort, the managers clearly knew it was crazy dishonest & illegal, & we ended up speaking with a VP who tried to make right by upselling, and telling us that they'll just "lie" to the system and pretned like we bought a unit that will allow us to book the other 7 resorts. I asked MANY questions during the initial pitch that were answered with out-right lies (we learned today.) The full details are astonishing including have our 2 young children at the initial SIX hour pitch and being told we weren't allowed to leave the building to get them lunch if we wanted to be eligible for the programs we were intersted in. Need to know where to go from here and if we have any rights.
