Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas

bring the vehicle back --the dealer lost too much money

we bought a vehicle--traded in one and gave a big down payment--we have the contract---the dealer called hours later and said they had lost too much money on the deal and told us to bring the vehicle back and take our trade in--this was over a week after the original deal was made. the general manager was suppose to call over a week ago and hasn't --am i still at risk of losing my vehicle or what if they do not pay off my trade in?

Re: bring the vehicle back --the dealer lost too much money

Write the dealer a letter telling them that you them expect to abide by their contract and to forward to you a copy of the payoff to the creditor of your trade-in. Send the letter certifed mail return receipt requested, delivery restricted to the general manager. Inform him that you will seek all legal protection allowed by the laws of the State of Texas. If your trade-in is not paid off, please sign my contract for representation against the dealer.

In addition to Mr. Grissom's answer, send a copy of the letter to the Consumer Protection Div. of the Texas Attorney General's office.
