Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
buying a used car
I have an situation where my daughter went out to purchase a used car from a individual. She put $1000 down payment on it, but there where things that needed to be fixed, which the owner agreed to fix at no extra charge. After a few weeks waiting for the repairs, she decide that she no longer wish to purchase the vehicle and now the owner wants to charge her for the repairs made to a car that she never had possion of. I would like to knoe if this is legal?

It is difficult to comment on your daughter's situation, since it does not state what was signed, and what agreements were reached; however, it sounds as if she bought a car.
