Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Car Loan Default
I am in default of my car loan and the lender has stated they will file charges aganist me if I do not return the car making it a stolen vehicle. Can I be arrested if found driving the vehicle?

If they do, it could be a violation of fair debt collection acts...but the problem with such questions expects lawyers to know what your loan documments say..and you would be wise to visit a bankruptcy attorney for guidance...or one of the Consumer Credit counsellors...
