Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Car reposseion
I let my car go back 6 months after I bought it. Now the company that financed my car wants me to pay the remaining balance whice consists of $10,000, that I cannot pay. I was wondering since I am currently unemployed, if they could still take me to court(which they have already threatned) or would they go after my husband by garnishing his paychecks? His name was never on the car title, just mine.

They could file a lawsuit against you. May or may not make any difference that you don't have a job now. But, I guarantee you they absolutely will not garnish your husband's paycheck. The next time they call, put the phone down and take a walk.
