Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Car Title
I bought a brand new Ford Explorer last year. At the time, I had a boyfriend that worked at Best Buy. Best Buy employees receive discounts on Ford Vehicles. Therefore, I asked the sales representative if I could get my boyfriend's discount without having his name on the title. He said yes, he would just need to be cosignor, but that his name would not be on the title. Well, I have since found out they made him co-owner, and his name is on the title. We do not see each other anymore. Is there a way to get his name off the title besides refinancing or trading it in for another vehicle?

Re: Car Title
As far as I am aware, the only way to keep the car and remove your ex-boyfriend's name from the title would be to refinance the vehicle in your own name.
