Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
car titles
I purchased a vehicle from a used car lot My Bank paid them I have 18 months on the car loan left out of 60 months. last year I went to get my tags renewd and was told the car was not in my name. so
I went to talk to Brad Harper the owner of the lot. Who is no longer in Buis. But put a paper tag on my car from yet another dealer Danny Benitos Auto who is out of Buis also now. Brad said he had it resolved and put my plate on and so I went on my way only to have the same problem again this year when I did not get a renewal and went to renew the tags and was told again my vehicle was still not in my name. I have since found out that Brad Harper has a loan on my vehicle with Education Credit Union. So Now not only do I not have a title I run the risk of him not paying his loan and getting my car taken for no fault on my own or my banks fault what do I do now

Re: car titles
Do two things, first contact the DOT and file a complaint, and the state will handle the dealer. Second, contact DPS, and they will have you complete a written form, attach your proof of purchase and payments, and application for a bonded title.
Brad Harper may also have some criminal liability here, but that would depend upon the PD investigation.
He certainly has a civil liability to you. Your bank as the lienholder might be willing to fight on your behalf for the funds. If not, consider hiring an attorney.
