checking account hold
my bank currently has a hold on my acct, because of a debt i had from 1991 , what is my recourse ???

The only reason I can think of that the bank has a hold on your account is for a judgment that was taken against you for the debt. You might have a slight possibility of overturning the judgment if you did not get proper notice of the lawsuit, but it's going to cost you $2,000 - $5,000 (maybe more) to contest the judgment now. Otherwise, you have no recourse.
