Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Collecting from Contractor
I hired a contractor to do work in my home. Paid part of contract money up front. Contractor did bad job and was found to have mispresented themselves with claims of lincense and memberships to reputable associations. Requested refund of money less cost of work done plus their profit and overhead and the contract voidance penalty. The refuse to reimburse the money for work they did not do. What can I do?
