Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
I contracted with a roofer whose contract states that they will replace my roof for the amount the insurance company allows. They completed the roof and I in my ignorance paid them the full amount allotted by the insurance company which included some other home damage. This was back in Dec'09. I compained by phone but plan to send a certified letter officially requesting the difference allotted by the insurance company and the amount paid. This is about $1,000. What is my legal recourse? Sue them for breach of contract, and demand the difference between what you really owed them and what they received. Take a look here:
