Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
contrat not honored
After a representative came to our
home, we signed a 3-year contract with
an alarm system company. The
representative said that we would be
called back the following day to
schedule the installation. Nobody
called. We tried to contact both the
company and the representative by
phone and our calls haven't been
returned. After two weeks we finally
reached the company but the person
said that our contract wasn't in the
company's computer. Can we just back
out at this point? Can the company
show up in 2 months and force us to
honor this contract? We cannot wait
indefinitely...

Re: contrat not honored
Send them a letter by CMRRR telling them that because THEY breached the contract by failing to timely install the system, that you no longer need their services.
