If a contract was signed on Saturday to do a wedding cake and you cancel the order on Monday are you not guaranteed a three day cooling off period to cancel the contract with out any penalties?

Re: Cooling Off Period for a Contract
Probably not. The Texas Business and Commerce Code outlines specific instances where the three day rule applies, and is applicable to purchases for goods or services to the consumer at a place other than the merchant's place of business and where the consumer agreed or offered to purchase the items or services at a place other than the merchant's place of business. The best example of this is a purchase from a door to door salesperson. There are other exemptions in the chapter, but if you went to the place of business and signed a contract, you are obligated to pay for the goods and services.
