Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Cosigner auto financing
I had to have my mom co-sign on
an auto loan. The salesman asked to put it in my co-signor's name because of easier financing. I told him no several times and was very adament about me being the main borrower. To my surprise
my mom, the co-signer was listed as the main borrower. My name is listed 2nd. Is it legal for auto dealers to do that even though you told them no more than once.

Re: Cosigner auto financing
The loan is in both of your names, and you are both equally responsible. Your credit will both be equally affected by the repayment of the loan.
