Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
co-signer on vehicle loan
I co-signed a loan for my stepson, who lost his job and can not make the payments and I am now paying for the truck. Can I take the truck and sell it to pay off the note even though the title is in his name?

Re: co-signer on vehicle loan
Did you retain a lien on the vehicle? If so, then you can exercise your lien and repossess the vehicle (follow the repo laws). If not, then you will have to sue him for the monies you are out.
