Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
new door
Purchased fibr glass custon door unit from door company in Oct.They stated the door could be stained to color. They contacted a person to stain and install the door. A verbal contract was agreed apon between us and the person to stain and install the door, stained to match a book shelf. The door was brought to us today, Dec. 21st. completely unacceptable. The stain was inconsistant and did not match the shelf sample. What recourse do we have to the people we bought it from and the man that accepted the job to stain. The man who tried to stain the door said he would replace the door, in fact he call the company and told them that was what he wanted to do. We in turn are fed up and just want our money back. I would appreciate any advice you might give us.
