Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
double charged causing NSF fees at the bank
an eye clinic in cleburne texas charged my debit card two times for the same amount. i found this when i checked my balance online at my home. after talking with the eye clinic they denied what they did, even though i had a print out from the bank proving that they did. after seeing the print out they refunded me for one of the charges, but they refuse to pay the NSF fees that they caused by this action. my bank agrees with me i should not be out the additional money, because they ran the card twice. do i have any legal recourse to get my money back.

Re: double charged causing NSF fees at the bank
Absolutely, Sue them for negligence. Filing fees in JP Court are usually around $55-$75 and maybe you can recover the court costs as well as the NSF charges caused by their error. Good Luck.
