Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Failure to pay back monies for vehicle purchase
We were purchasing a used car from our neighbor; they broke the agreement midway through payment of car. Kept car and our money. They have since sold the car and refuse to give our money back.

Re: Failure to pay back monies for vehicle purchase
How much did you agree to buy the car for?
How long did you pay on the car and how much money did you pay?
How did they get the car back?
When did they take the car?
Was anything in writing?

If it's less than $5,000 in issue, you can sue them in Small Claims. You don't ned a lawyer to do that.
