Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
What to do with goods shipped to my home without my permission.
Background:
I was trying to sell my home and it was vacant at the time but still owned by me. During negotiations with a particular buyer someone had turned in a change of address form and started receiving mail at my home without my persmission. Then UPS delivered a package to the home. I called them and told them that person does not live here. They later delivered a printer to the address.
That was 6 months ago. I still have the printer and have made attempts to contact the person the printer was address too, but they never returned my call.
My Question.
Can I keep the printer that was address to my home but not too me. And after I have made attempts to contact the addressee?
Thanks

I don't recommend it. Give it back to UPS.
