Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Hello,
I live in Texas. About 2 years ago: I, my brother, and my mother were defendants in a lawsuit. My Mother signed a retainer agreement with a local law firm to represent us. She was the only one who signed the agreement. Neither I nor my brother was mentioned in the agreement.
The firm lost the lawsuit. Because they done such a poor job at defending us, my mother decided not to pay the final bill. After about 2 months, the Law firm filed a lawsuit against my mother. They were unable to serve. In October they added me and my brother to the lawsuit. Like I stated above my mother was the only one the sign the agreement with them. She paid all the bills. I had no conversation or agreement with the attorney at all. Can they sue me? If yes, What should I do?

It is against the law to try to collect a debt from someone who doesn't owe it. What this law firm is doing is illegal.
You should report them to the state bar of Texas. Here's the URL:

And then answer the lawsuit, and counterclaim for fraud.
