Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
My insurance co. sent plumbrers to my house to investigate my water and sewer lines as my foundation was bad. After all the investigating the outcome was that leaks in my sewer line caused the damage. At that point the insurance co sent the plumbers back to repair three leaks , I was told that I would be responsable for the pipe repair and the insurance would pay for the cost to access the leaks. I paid my part and in the middle of the job the insurace co called the plumbers and told them to stop the work that they were making a settlement with me and that I would now be responable for the entire cost. I did not have a choice in what plumbers to hire and I would not have used there plumbers, as I work for a plumbing co. and would have got repairs done at a discount rate. The plumbers took there orders from State Farm, so they left my home with three access holes and left the main sewer line(health Hazard) open, also I have a huge pile of dirt that came from the holes in my yard and I also have old rusted pipe left in my yard. I did not hire this company and I don't feel like I am responable for the bill. What are my options about this.
