Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Insurance
A relative on mine house burned. She had insurance, put she paid late. The insurance company paid her $2000.00 up front for living expenses. The insurance co. investigated the fire and two months later they denied her claim stating, that her policy had lasped. My question is, if her policy had lasped, why did they pay out the $2000.00 for her living expenses. Should she seek legal council and sue her former insurance company. The company resides in Texas.
