Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
On July 17, 2010 a guy knocked to my door, I opened it. He offered $30 pest control service. I agreed, he did not mention anything about an 12-month agreement. I was convinced that this was going to be just one time service. I was busy with my 2 children, one 6 months and 2 years old, so the guy slipped some paper to sign still talking about the $30 service. The paper was the agreement I signed for 12 months. Looks like this service is going to cost me about $400 with tax for the next 12 months! Is the contract I signed because of the tricky method of that company valid. Is there any way I can breach it without any consequences?
Thank you

Don't pay any more money. And write a letter to the company telling them how their sleazy salesman deceives people (and reiterate that you aren't going to pay). Keep a copy of the letter.
If the bug-srayer shows up again, smile and tell him that you canceled the service. Be firm.
The chances that they will sue you are very close to zero.
