My 12 year old daughter flew Delta airlines on 12/24/06 and policy was not followed she was unaccounted for for 30+min. Instead of taking her to the next gate where she was to fly to Seattle the person dropped her off at a desk area where no one knew why she was there. After waiting and becoming confused and concerned she called her father on her own cell phone to straighten things out. Turns out the plane was being held for her but they didn't know where she was and no phone call was made to the parents I'm pissed can anything be done? or is this just a wow oh well lets not do this again?

Poor customer service and incompetency is not illegal - it's a burden we all bear. Technically speaking, you might have a breach of contract claim, but your damages are practically nothing. So, I don't know what would be the advantage of legal proceedings.
