Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas

Lemon Law

I bought a car from a dealership a little over a year ago. Since then the car has broken down several times for the same reason each time. The dealership always gives me the run around before they finally fix it. Do I have the right to tell them that I will not pay anymore payments until the care is fixed correctly?

Re: Lemon Law

No. Lemon law applies only to new cars. If you bought it new, you may have rights under the lemon law to demand a replacement or buy-back. Your chances are better with a lawyer.

Re: Lemon Law

You don't have a right to stop making payments. But if you bought the car new, you may have some relief under the Lemon Law.
