Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas

Loan and Denials

I applied for a loan, closed on the loan, and received a denial statement the day after I closed. Two days later I received the check. This was all after I had been denied earlier in the year because the agent filing the paper work filled out papers wrong three times (here say thru the filing agencies)and did not keep up with the underwriters. She call me to explain the situation and asked me to refile. I told her ''No'' that she was ruining my credit but after a long debait she talked me into it. ( By the way, I started this in early March and ended it on the 28th of October.) This cost me time and money and harmed my credit. They denied me but gave me the money. What can I do.

Re: Loan and Denials

You have 2 of the 3 elements of a lawsuit - negligence of the employee, liability of the company, but your damages seem minimal because you got the loan. Did you get it at a higher interest rate thereby costing you money over the life of the loan? Has your credit rating changed? What has that cost you? In order to bring a lawsuit, you have to quantify the dollar value of your damages. What is the value of your damages?
