Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
lying in a contract
Previous owners of home we just bought lied about existing roof leaks and assured us that warranty of roof was tranferable. Roof is leaking, contractor said it's not covered. What can we do? We are a young couple and this is our first home. Neighbors are telling us that previous owners were aware of roof. Is this fraud?

Sounds like it could be. The question is where is the seller and could you collect on a judgment. You should consult with an attorney where the house is located.
