Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Getting Money Back With Interest
We bought $9k of furniture from a well known high-end store. They lost a piece and now the manufacture does not make it any more. We want them to take $3K worth back because it can not be matched. It has been four months and they have not given us our money back. They do not return phone calls. Can we ask for interest in addition to this money or should we just contact an attorney?

Re: Getting Money Back With Interest
You should pursue this in small claims court as the claim is under $5,000.00. An attorney may help you, but it may cost you money up front and you may not receive attorney's fees in the judgment.
