Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Negligence on the part of Restaurant
hi!
We're purely vegetarian by religion. We went to some restaurant and ordered veg topping pizza. some left over pizza we took home. next day we found out one meat piece in it.
It was so sickening that we'd eaten some meat piece that my husband threw up. it had hurt our religious sentiments
i want to know what my rights are. and how i shall go about it. the restaurant is offering gift check equivalent to the amount of pizza which we feel is no compensation.
we're still keeping the pizza as proof
waiting for an immediate response

Re: Negligence on the part of Restaurant
It is very unfortunate that happened. Hopefully, the cook did not do this intentionally. You should speak with a local attorney about this and discuss your potential claim and options on how to proceed with this.
Re: Negligence on the part of Restaurant
Did the menu say "Strictly vegetarian topping" or did it say "vegetable topping"? If the restaurant claimed the pizza to be strictly vegetarian, you have a claim for negligence.
In that case, you need to contact an attorney that does personal injury law.
