Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
My neighbor called about building a fence between the two properities. Both times that we spoke, the disucssion only covered spliting the cost of materials. I even provided the barb wire at no cost to him. He has now sent a bill charging for materials and labor. Do I have to pay the labor charges? There was no contract of any kind signed. Simply a verbal agreement to split the cost of materials.

You made a verbal contract, and you've kept your part of the bargain. Explain that to him, and don't give him any money.
