Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
I took out a payday loan with a post dated check. My wife lost her job and we had to close our bank account. They are now coming after me for a hot check. Can they do that and what will happen? Thank you

In what way are they "coming after you"? Have you heard from the DA? Or is it just threats from the loan company?
Generally, you can't be prosecuted for a post-dated check that turns out to be worthless. Until you actually hear from the DA (or county prosecutor), don't worry about it.
