down payment on used vehicle
bought a used pickup and as far as i knew financed the whole amount. two weeks later car dealership called to inform me i owed them the down payment. is this legal and is there a time limit on this practice

Read the contract that you signed on the date you purchased the car. For the most part, it governs the entire transaction. If the contract provides that you do not owe a down payment, then send a complaint letter to the Texas Attorney General and the Texas Department of Transportation Auto Dealers Enforcement Division. Send a copy to the dealer.
