Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas

Primary Buyer Vs. Co-Buyer

I purchased a car thru a dealer who told me while signing all the paper work that if I wanted to remove the Co-Buyer we would both have to come back in to sign the papers. Now, that I am trying to do just that they are telling me that it cant be done. Can I print out a form online or have a document notarized stating that the Co-Buyer no longer lives in the residence and has no obligation to the car rather it be financial or legal. Also some how including nor will they by any means try to take possession of the car. Please help...

Re: Primary Buyer Vs. Co-Buyer

That's creative thinking but not a word of it will work. You and the co-buyer signed a contract to pay for the car along with all rights and obligations. If you don't uphold your end of the bargain, they will look to the co-buyer for payment. They are usually *very* reluctant to give up that advantage.
