privacy violation
I responded to an internet ad by sending a recruiter
my resume. I did not respond to the recruiter nor sign any contract to establish any agent/client relationship. Unknown to me, the recruiter sent my resume to a hospital without my permission. One year later, I apply for a job at this hospital and found out they ''already'' have my resume one year earlier. The hospital told me they cannot hire me because they will not pay the recruiter ''finder's fee''. I told them I find the job myself without going through this recruiter. I would like to sue this recruiter for violation of my privacy: send my confidential information to someone without me knowing about it, resulting in my inability to get the job. Can a recruiter uses the resume you sent and do whatever he wants without your permission? I never give him any permission to share the information to any other party without first notifying me. The only contact I have with the recruiter is to send him my resume. Nothing else. Thank you for your help.

Since you knew the person was a recruiter, what did you think they would do with your resume?
