Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
We purchased a 2012 GMC Terrain on June 15th. We signed all of the contract documents. The documents show that we are financed with Ally at 6.9% interest with monthly payments of $521.00 per month, starting July 30th. We sent them all of the requested financial documents, the day that we signed the contract. I have been calling the dealer for 2 weeks telling them that we have not received anything from the lender, to make a payment. I spoke with the dealership Monday, and they said that the contract had expired, and we could not get financed at the rate given. They said that we would be financed at 10.7% with payments of $580. They said that we needed to come back in and sign a new contract. They have already paid off our trade in and sold it. Can they do this?

It would be a really good idea for you to take your "contract documents" to a lawyer. Without seeing the documents themselves, I can't tell you what your rights are. However, it does sound to me like you're dealing with a crook.
