Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
I purchased a vehicle and listed my husband as "co-buyer" at the time of purchase, since then we have divorced and he has the car and is suppose to change the car into his name which he hasn't done yet. and now he is late on a payment. will I be responsible for the payments. I can not afford them

Yes, you are responsible for the payments unless (a) the loan is paid off or (b) your husband refinances. The finance company/lender doesn't care whether you're married or divorced, and doesn't care what your decree says; they have your signature on a promissory note.
