Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
reimb for damaged goods during move
I hired a moving company bonded and insured, however when sofa was damaged in move, the adjuster said they would pay only $0.60 per pound in reimbursement. This was not in any information given to me when hiring them for the move. My furniture to replace would be a great deal more than this amount. What is my recourse if this is unacceptable. How or who do I contact for additional settlement.

Re: reimb for damaged goods during move
If you did not purchase additional insurance on your goods, the price per pound is all they're required to pay as a matter of federal law.
