Legal Question in Consumer Law in Texas
Retail bait and switch
I was shopping at a Family Dollar store on Galveston. There was a sign on this end cap that sail At these prices they won't last and was priced $8. When I go to the register it came up 12.99. I told them that the sign said $8. The manager said that they were working in that area and just didn't change the sign. They would not honor that price. I called corporate office on 8/24 and they said that the District Manager will call back so fay I have heard nothing. I call Twice now and still have heard nothing. When I called corporate they gave me a reference number plus I did sent them an email on that same day. I feel as a consumer this was unjust and I am sure they are doing this to other customers at least that is what it shows on the Vault website. I told them when I worked retail the sign was the first to come down and the last to go up. I feel it was bait and switch and they really should honor the price the sign said.

Re: Retail bait and switch
It will come down to their policies on how they enforce procedures and whether they will do what you suggest. Shop elsewhere if you wish.
